For Medical Professionals

The American Lung Association has a long history of partnership with medical professional s. The American Thoracic Society was founded in 1905 as the medical arm of the Lung Association; today, it is independently incorporated, but the two organizations continue to work together. The American Lung Association also offers continuing education opportunities to medical professionals through the Asthma Educator Institute and the annual Atlantic Coast Regional Thoracic Conference.
